Views of London: the Changing Landscape

View across River from City Hall

When we went to City Hall this week Jim took a lot of photos of the area around to demonstrate the history and change that is constant. We have some iconic new buildings going up or just gone up such as the Shard and City Hall itself. Just look at how many cranes you can see in the view across from City Hall. And the boat is interesting too – a Royal Navy exploration vessel from the Antartic.

Yet the Thames also has some really ancient buildings on its banks such as the Tower of London. and then there are the streets where we still see old established businesses. So here are some of the photos he took. Enjoy! the first is a view of the circular walkway inside City Hall.

Model of Shakespeare’s London: Note how small.
