I came across some interesting items I thought I would share with you. the first 2 are quotes to think about – especially if you are a writer. Now I don’t claim to be a writer in that sense, in that I only write academic texts and papers (except for these blogs of course – now are they writing in another sense I wonder?) but nevertheless the quotations are worth considering for what they mean to us in the act of putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard or however you undertake your writing… (by the way, do you start with a pen and paper? or do you go straight to the computer? I do different things I’m finding – pen to paper for blogs – I have scraps of paper all over; and straight to the computer for my academic books and papers – I wonder why? Is there some significance in the way I differentiate the tasks?)
So here are the two quotes:
A book should serve as an axe for the frozen sea within us.
Writing is the geometry of the soul.
Any thoughts anyone?
