I am not quite sure how I keep finding books with vampires in at the moment – certainly I didn’t realise that there was one in this book when I chose it.
That said, the book was really about a parallel world where witches are common and are part of the police force. The answer as to why there are witches at all is interesting and part of the plot, so I won’t spoil it for you.
So this is really a murder story with police detectives and runaways and teenagers with the witch-craft forming a focal point as to why the murders.
The writing is easy to read and whilst not exceptional, it is a nice story for duvet days and when you don’t need too much brain power expended. It is not a complicated murder story but has some nice ideas. I will read the next in the series.
